Commercial Service Technician

We have an immediate opportunity for a Commercial Service Technician / Journeyman Electrician in and around Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area. If you are reliable, conscientious and have 5+ years’ experience running a van/truck servicing commercial and/or light industrial customers, Amber would like to speak to you! 

As a successful candidate, you have well-rounded electrical skills and have 5 or more years of experience as a Commercial Service Electrician making service calls at commercial and/or light-industrial sites.


Functions

  • Apply electrical practices to solve, design, development, and modification issues

  • Troubleshoot common electrical systems like services, feeders, and branch circuits

  • Read diagrams or blueprints, and prepare sketches for future maintenance as necessary

  • Install control and distribution devices like switches, relays, transformers, RPPs, and panels

  • Connect power to equipment such as PDUs, electric appliances, motors, lighting equipment, etc.

  • Test equipment or systems for proper functioning, identify hazards and make required adjustments

  • Ensure the safety of our team members and customers

  • Be available to work nights and weekends

  • Interact professionally with customers, vendors, and other trades

  • Will need to climb a ladder and stairs

  • Work independently, with a helper, or run a small crew

  • Operate assigned company vehicle safely (direct to site)


  • Valid Driver's License

  • Good driving record

  • Clear Background Check

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Active Texas Journeyman’s or Master license

  • 8+ years’ commercial and/or light-industrial service experience as a Journeyman

  • Knowledge of blueprints, specifications, codes, and regulations

  • Good communication skills and problem-solving skills

  • The ability to manage time effectively and prioritize issues

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Must be able to work in crawl spaces and attics with ease
